Calculation formula
Packs = ceil((net floor area × (1 + allowance / 100)) ÷ pack area).
Example: For a 5 × 4 m floor, 2.22 m² packs and a 10% allowance, 10 packs are needed: 20 m² becomes 22 m².
Frequently asked questions
What allowance should I choose for laminate flooring?
Straight layouts often use a 5–10% allowance. For diagonal layouts, many cuts or an irregular room, check the layout plan and allow more if needed.
Can I enter a finished floor area?
Yes. When floor area is entered, it is used instead of calculating length × width.
