Privacy Policy

This policy describes the actual technical behaviour of the current RemontKalk site. It does not replace the policies of third-party services reached through an external link.

What RemontKalk does

RemontKalk is a static reference service with material calculators and practical renovation guides. The current version has no accounts, registration, comments or forms for sending user data to the site owner.

Calculations and search

Values entered into calculators are processed locally in the browser. With the current site architecture, they are not sent to the RemontKalk owner and are not stored by the owner in a database.

A search query is matched in the browser against a locale-specific JSON index loaded from this site. The text of the query is not sent to the owner as separate search data.

Browser storage

The current site uses only interface settings in localStorage: “remontkalk.locale” stores a manually selected language; “remontkalk-theme” stores the selected light or dark theme; “remontkalk.locale-notice” may be used briefly to show a message when a translation is unavailable and is removed after it is displayed.

These values are not cookies. They stay on the user’s device and can be removed through browser settings or by clearing site data.

Language and appearance

On a first visit to the site root, the browser locally uses navigator.languages or navigator.language to choose the Russian or English version. Language is not determined from an IP address or geolocation. A manual choice may be stored in localStorage.

The browser may use the system prefers-color-scheme setting for the initial appearance. It is used only to choose a light or dark theme.

Cookies

RemontKalk’s current code does not set cookies. Advertising and analytics cookies are not used at this time. This describes the current site and will be reviewed before technologies that require them are enabled.

Hosting and technical request data

RemontKalk uses Cloudflare infrastructure, including Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare DNS, to host and deliver the site, provide DNS, HTTPS/TLS, caching/CDN and network-security protection.

When you access the site, Cloudflare may technically process standard network-request data, including an IP address, requested URL, request date and time, User-Agent, HTTP headers, and routing or security information. This infrastructure processing does not mean that calculator values or search-query text are sent to RemontKalk as separate application data.

Retention of technical data is determined by Cloudflare’s policies and the applicable infrastructure configuration; RemontKalk does not set those periods itself.

Analytics and advertising

No separate web analytics system is currently connected. Advertising systems are not active, advertising tags are absent, and ads.enabled is disabled.

If advertising or another data-collecting service is added in the future, this policy will be updated before activation to describe the technologies actually used, data recipients and any applicable settings or consent choices.

Third-party links

The site includes a DonationAlerts link for voluntary support of the author. That service begins processing data only after a user chooses to visit its site. Further processing is governed by the relevant service’s own policies.

When you follow any third-party link, you leave RemontKalk. Data processing on that resource is governed by its own rules.

Security and retention

The site uses an HTTPS address and technical safeguards provided by the current configuration. Absolute security of data transmission or storage cannot be guaranteed.

localStorage settings normally remain until the user removes them, clears browser data or the site changes them; the temporary “remontkalk.locale-notice” is removed after display. Cloudflare’s policies and the applicable infrastructure configuration determine technical-log retention.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated when the site’s technical behaviour changes. Material changes involving advertising, analytics or transfers to third-party systems will be described before those systems are activated.
