Calculation formula

Volume = area × coverage in L/m² × number of coats; ml/m² is divided by 1000; with allowance = volume × (1 + allowance / 100).

Example: For 20 m², coverage of 100 ml/m², two coats and a 10% allowance, the estimate is 4.4 L of primer.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert ml/m² to litres?

Divide the millilitre value by 1,000: 100 ml/m² equals 0.1 L/m².

Is a second coat always needed?

No. The number of coats depends on the substrate and the product instructions, so set it to the value appropriate for your job.
