Calculation formula
Total area = width × height × number of surfaces; net area = total area − openings; sheets = ceil((net area × layers) ÷ sheet area).
Example: For one 5 × 2.7 m wall, 1.2 × 2.5 m sheets and one layer, the estimate is 5 sheets before allowance. Cutting and joint layout can increase the actual quantity.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate two layers?
Set the number of layers to 2. The required sheet area is doubled and the sheet count is rounded up.
Can I use this for a ceiling?
Yes, when the surface can be represented as a rectangle. For niches, slopes and complex cutting, add an allowance after checking the sheet layout.
